MAIA secures 3rd place at the Global Social Entrepreneurship Challenge!

Last week we had the pleasure of travelling to Amsterdam again.

After winning the Austrian competition of the Global Social Entrepreneurship Challenge, we were invited to the World Finals to pitch.
The finale took place at the Junior Chamber International World Congress in beautiful Amsterdam. Along with 14 other projects and startups we presented MAIA to a jury and an international audience.

We are very proud to announce that we were able to secure a third place at the world finals. It makes us especially humble and proud to have gained the jurys and the audiences trust among such great startups and projects. It is truly inspiring to be among so many other people who dedicate their lives, money and hard work to good causes. Among the other winners were Brewgooder, a brewing company that raises money for clean water projects, a special training and remobilization crane that mobilizes bedstricken patients and a city guide especially tailored to fit the needs of handicapped people.

Special thanks go out to JC International, Junge Wirtschaft Österreich, the amazingly talented and spirited Christiane Holzinger, Ruth Gabler, Christoph Drescher from DealMatrix, KPMG and the European SuperAngel Fund!

We firmly believe that our work will contribute greatly to making hospitals a more hospitable place for patients of all nationalities, social and educational backgrounds. Knowing about your illnesses and their cure is key to an active participation in an optimal course of treatment, from the initial diagnosis all the way through the entire rehabilitation process. Together we can help everyone understand their healthcare information and make real informed decisions.

Faithfully yours, the MAIA Team.
